Jeff: Hello everybody. This is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a look at the JIF Marine 12 inch long aluminum S style dock cleat. Now this durable cleat lets you attach your rope or your dock line to your dock. It is a rust-proof aluminum construction and this cleat is an S shaped design here you can see, which makes it easier to loop the lines around the horns. It is a bolt-on installation.
Now the mounting hardware is not included. The mounting holes on these cleats, so it's nice about if you see they are recessed so that the bolts will stay clear of any attached lines.A few specs on this, the dimensions, if we do the length from this end to this end, it's right about 11 inches long. The height from the very bottom of the base to the highest tallest point, it's about three and three eights inches. Distance between the center holes center to center is right at five and three quarter inches and then the mounting hole diameter is a half an inch.
